The Orchestral Forest

  • Sinfonia Smith Square Smith Square London, SW1P 3HA United Kingdom (map)

The Orchestral Forest is yours to explore. Wander between the trees, open your ears and listen. Really listen.

As you experience an orchestra from within, free to move between the instruments, discover a story of beauty, patience, peril and hope. Take control of the mixing desk and choose how you want to encounter extraordinary nature-inspired music by Felix Mendelssohn, Dobrinka Tabakova, Nadia Boulanger, Michael Nyman and more.

Combining classical music with forest soundscapes, lighting design and movement, the Orchestral Forest transports you to the realm of great oaks, birches, aspens and beeches. Of lives measured in centuries, not years. Of a paradise lost, but also a future that might just save us all.

Please note that this immersive concert is unseated – you will be standing and moving throughout the hour-long performance.
