Royal Philharmonic Society Awards

Creative Producer / Projection Design / Print Design

Since 2019, I have designed and creative produced the annual Royal Philharmonic Society Awards, described by the Sunday Times as ‘the biggest night in UK classical music’.

The RPS Awards is a night of celebration with special guests, live music and inspirational stories, showcasing all that classical music is doing in the UK each year.

The awards have been held at the Royal Northern College of Music, Southbank Centre, Wigmore Hall and Battersea Arts Centre, and virtually in 2020 with a feature-length streamed video presentation.

Mixing live presentations and performances with multimedia elements that showcase all of the shortlisted entrants, I worked with the RPS team to develop a fresh and open new format - designed for both industry nominees and a wider public audience.

Matt Belcher is the secret RPS Award winner whose hard work, beautiful design and intuitive digital wizardry made it all possible this year

We’re absolutely loving the @RoyalPhilSoc Awards this evening. Such a shame we’re not all there in person to applaud the wonderful winners, but hats off to a wonderful ceremony!
— BBC Music Magazine
Matt is such a tremendous energy in classical music right now, and we’re so grateful for all the style, verve and colour he brought to this year’s #RPSAwards
